Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing (SMM) is a form of online marketing, and a subset of search engine marketing. It's used to build awareness and achieve branding and marketing communication goals. Participating in various social networks such as MySpace, Facebook, YouTube, Digg, Flickr, Twitter, and even 3D virtual worlds like as Second Life helps to achieve these goals. The goals for an SMM campaign will be different for each business that participates, but most will revolve around increasing visibility, building an idea or brand awareness, encouraging feedback, and of course selling a product or service.
